The Trailhead is our take on a minimalist hiking shoe equipped for any trail, trek or urban travel adventure. With its natural shape toe box, minimal heel drop, and lightweight design, it's sure to keep pushing your boundaries.

Whether you're climbing a 14er, going on a bike and brew tour, or even backpacking around the world, the Trailhead will be sure to take you far away from the ordinary. Designed for the trail but styled for the city streets, this low cut hiking shoe is the answer for your every move.

Stormy Night

We recommend ordering UP 1/2 size from your normal US size. If you have wider feet, we do not suggest this shoe.

Unsure of your size? We recommend ordering 2+ pairs at a time, as we offer a flat shipping fee of $5.95 & free exchange options for US customers.

This shoe is available in one width - MEDIUM Natural-Shape, as highlighted below:

RUGGED UPPER

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

MOUNTAIN-TO-TOWN OUTSOLE

Engineered with a low profile rubber tread that combines the best of both worlds: ample traction on trails, AND excellent durability on pavement.

LOW HEEL DROP

With 4mm of drop, compared to the traditional 12mm of drop, the Trailhead naturally decreases heel-striking for a more natural gait and healthier posture.

FIRM CUSHIONING

When your foot is on too soft of cushion, you end up with pain and discomfort. We've formulated a firm EVA midsole that'll keep your feet happy all day long.

Reviews Summary
Customers say these hiking shoes run small and require sizing up by half to a full size. Many appreciate the comfortable fit once properly sized, noting good traction and grip for trails and everyday wear. Users find them versatile for transitioning from city to trail activities. The toe box is narrower than other models in the brand's lineup, which some find less accommodating for wider feet. Many mention the shoes need minimal break-in time and praise their durability, with several customers purchasing multiple pairs. Common feedback includes the lightweight design and retro styling that garners compliments.

    Best shoes I've ever had

This is my third pair so far. They fit perfectly especially after a little break-in period. Best shoes for someone with narrow feet. They last about exactly 2 years before they start to fall apart.

    New for me

I own a few pair of Lems shoes. I was a little worried that these run a bit narrower that the others. I went up a half size per Lems suggestion. Glad I did. They are snugger in the midfoot area. Holds the foot in better. Not as comfortable as my other Lems shoes but I see why the last is made this way. If I were running of hiking I would want that extra snuggness holding my foot in place.

    Big fan of Lems.

    Great so far!

I bought a pair (Trail Blazer) in Colorado on a trip there, at a sporting goods store in Glenwood Springs. Had seen them on Instagram first, but wanted to try a pair on before buying. Once I got the first pair, loved them but had to get another pair. A welcomed side effect is they seem to make my lower back feel better wearing them. Keep up the good work!

Check the size chart before ordering trailhead

I ordered a 13 because the primal zen fit perfect and are super comfortable. The size 23 trailhead were too short and had to return them. Customer support recommended a 14 and they fit great. They are not as wide in the toe box as the primal zen but fit great still. I did see in the sizing guide where you should order a size up . I love the quality and build of the trailhead. PS MAKE THE GIT LIKE THE PRIMAL ZEN AND ITS A HOMERUN!
