Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Lovely boot!
I held off buying these because they were neither cold rated nor insulated. When I couldn't find any other zero drop boots in my size, I decided to go ahead regardless. I removed the Lems insoles so my toes wouldn't be squished and replaced them with some wonderful thick felted alpaca insoles. I've since worn them, along with wool socks, in brutally cold temps to shovel my driveway and my friend's driveway. My toes stayed cozy. So, don't let the lack of cold rating or insulation put you off. These are great boots, and the zippers make donning and removing the boots easy, and some creativity with insoles for warmth put icing on the cake.

Great boot from trail to real life
I love these! Super comfortable, can handle long hikes, but also cute to wear out and about. The side zip is essential. They could be a little warmer, but since they are clearly advertised as non-insulated, I can't exactly ding a star for that. I'd love to see Lems release an insulated boot for super cold weather, but I do find that if I'm moving along and not in the snow, my feet stay warm enough.

My wife is ecstatic
These shoes were comfortable from the get-go. No breaking in necessary. And they look great. We are very happy with the purchase.
One flaw that I should mention: the shoe has forever chemicals in the lining (apparently). Please stop using these linings!
