Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

I have been making a slow switch to barefoot shoes, and I have not looked back! The comfort level is AMAZING! I bought my husband a black pair and he swears by them! I had to have a pair for myself!

So comfortable!! Feels like I am hiking in slippers!!
All of my old boots made my toes feel cramped, hot and painful as the day wore on. These LEMs are incredible even after 10.6 miles my feet had no issues. The wide toe box lets my toes wiggle and keep the circulation moving . I like the zero drop as well and think it helps my pack ride easier on my back.

My go to boot for work, play & travel
After having my son, my feet are wider and I did not fit into traditional shoes/hiking boots. I switched to barefoot style shoes this year and was excited to try Lems. I started with the Chelsea Boot and loved them for the style and fit. But I had a trip to Alaska coming up and needed a hiker that was waterproof and grippy. I ordered a pair of the Boulder Grip and they were very comfy out of the box, I worse them for 3 days straight braking them in before the trip. But one of the lace hooks broke! I immediately contacted Lems and Connor was super helpful - he determined it was a manufacture defect and got a new pair out to me asap with only a couple days to spare before I left for Alaska. I wore these boots the entire alaska trip - they were waterproof, comfortable and even looked cute with my dressy outfits for dinner. Back at home, I wear them in the garden/doing yard, hiking, and know these will be my go too's this fall alongside my Lems Chelsea Boots.
