Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

This shoe is equipped with a slip resistant, non-marking rubber outsole that utilizes zig-zag grooves and grippy textures to ensure your feet remain grounded in slippery situations.

Good made better
I only wear Altra’s and Lem’s shoes because I need wide toe box and zero drop shoes. I use the Chillum for travel but the soles were not quite sturdy enough for a day of sight seeing. I was so pleased to see the upgrade in the Chillum. I have the Chillum in four colors as it’s the only non-athletic shoe I wear. Thank you Lem’s for continuing to find ways to make Lem’s shoes even better.
I get compliments on the Chlllum’s style. Since I have so few options in healthy shoes, I’m glad that they are also nice looking.

Just what I needed.
Love the leather. Really love the grip. I added gold sparkly shoe laces to add a touch of fun. I bought them mostly to wear on city walks but ended up using them on a two week adventure in the northern Nevada mountains and they performed really well. I prefer a thinner more fixable sole when I hike but had no mishaps with these. They are a great choice for when anything might happen. I would buy again.

Great!
These have been a great addition to my closet. I can wear them with work pants and feel like I don’t have sneakers on. They fit similar to the Kourt (same sizing for me) and have the comfy cork bed which I like.
