Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Rain or sun, we’re ready. Not only can you skip along streams and keep your toes dry, you can up the ante on where your travel takes you this winter, thanks to your new favorite pair, complete with a gusseted tongue.

OILED LEATHER UPPER

We’ve utilized a 100% full-grain leather with an oiled finish, that is pre-treated to be water repellent. To increase the water-repellency and extend it over the life of the shoe, we suggest using a waterproofing wax such as Otter Wax and reapplying 2-3 times per year.

IBR OUTSOLE

Our injection blown rubber outsole is what makes Lems incredibly lightweight and flexible. Deemed as the perfect travel companion, this boot can pack down to the size of your favorite puff jacket.

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

So comfy! So cute!
These have become my go to shoe! I love the low profile and the roomy toe box and they are seriously waterproof and warm, perfect for winter in Maine!
I bought them a half size up so I can add thick wool socks, even in thinner, socks, they fit is really comfortable!

Comfortable versatile and long lasting
Love love love these boots. I wear them hiking, landscaping, remodeling my house, pressure washing, and to work in an industrial setting. They withstand everything and are easy to clean and almost waterproof. Especially if you keep up with waxing on a protective layer. 10 stars. Love these. Never buying other shoes. Picture is new shoes next to a 2 year old shoes I wore every day. They start out stiff but wear in after a few months. An 11.5 fits me best and I’m usually a 9.5.

Great boots
I sized up a whole size. After trying a half size larger, I exchanged (fast and easy process). The sole is a bit stiffer for anyone used to wearing barefoot shoes but I wanted something rugged and this works for my needs. I was worried that my foot was too high volume for the top of the boot, but once it is in it fits great. I have plenty of room for thicker socks. It takes a moment to pull my foot into the boot but what do you expect from a lace-up that has the waterproof flaps attached to the tongue? I have been hiking in them already and walked through puddles, as well as swampy areas of trail and my feet were bone dry. I have worn them for animal chores and trips to the store. They still look great enough to wear with dresses and skirts (which I wear predominantly). I was torn between these and the Chelseas mostly for the fact that I wear skirts, but these fit the bill. My only regret is that I wish I had grabbed the Chelseas as well during the awesome sale! I will try to add some photos when I have some available.
