Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Shoes that let my feet (and toes) breathe!
Check it out! These shoes are awesome. The color, the shape (width), and the feel are all great. They didn't take long to adjust to either. After a week or maybe two these shoes and I became best friends. Gym, hiking, long strolls down grocery store isles, we go everywhere together. Have you ever worn shoes all day and before long your feet, especially your toes feel trapped, compressed even? Yeah, that was me before getting the Primal 3's.
Ok, in total transparency, I was looking for a shoe that was similar to the Merrell Vapor Glove 6. I should have paid closer attention to the sole stack height. The Merrells have a 3.5mm stack height, which is damn close to the ground compared to these. But hey, that is what I wanted at the time. Unfortunately, I only got about 13 months out of those before a large crater-sized hole formed on my right foot sole. My Primals have a 9mm stack height, which is great because I don't feel every little (and I mean little) rock I step on top of.
The Lems have a wider toe box! This was the deciding factor for me and I could not be more happy with my decision. Most shoes are narrow-boxed and fix your toes into a position they were never intended to be positioned in. I've only had these shoes for a short time now but I can see a real difference in how my toes were before allowing them to grow, rather, reform to their natural shape.
