You may be asking yourself, “If you do not market the Boulder Boot as a performance hiking/backpacking boot, why would you do a review of the product on a 6 day – 62 mile hike?” Confidence – that’s why. I was confident that the Boulder Boot would be able to withstand everything a 180 lb frame with a 50 lb pack could throw its way. And I must say, the Boulder Boot not only withstood the abuse, but it far exceeded my high expectations.
After switching to minimal running shoes I began the search anew but still couldn't find anything I really liked. Most good minimalist running shoes aren't particularly comfortable to wear all day (such as Merrell's Trail Glove), while most shoes that are comfortable aren't very minimal (such as New Balance's MT10).
So you can imagine my excitement when the kind folks at Leming agreed to provide a pair of their shoes for me to review. After all, they basically set out to make the exact shoe I had been looking for. The only question was, did they succeed?

STEM believes that by strengthening the muscles in your feet, you are inadvertently strengthening your entire body."
Wow. Our first OR Show was an incredible trip and an overwhelming success we will never forget.
"Like you, I suffered from a host of injuries; heel bursitis, plantar fasciitis, posterior tibias tendonitis, patella tendonitis, and the worst of all for me: compartment syndrome. I saw a number of orthopedists and other doctors and none of them had answers (some suggested it was in my head!). Needless to say, I was very frustrated...I finally quit athletics all together because I grew to hate running so much as it was very painful. This year I started out running completely barefoot, and it has been wonderful so far...I don’t know why I didn’t realize this earlier."
The Great Toe, otherwise know as the Big Toe, is the centerpiece in so many foot functions. Simply correcting the positioning of the Great Toe and giving the other toes space to splay can cure pain from plantar fasciitis to bunions, and neuropathology (numbness).
A life of joint and spine pain all because parents want their children to wear the “best shoes.” A word to all the parents out there: When shoes are necessary, put the least amount of a shoe on your children’s feet.
