Not as wide as Primal Zen
I have the Primal Zen and even though the Trail Thrashers have the same ‘widest toe box’ as Primal Zen they do not. They are wide at the widest part of the foot but then curve inwards. I wish they did not cause that defeats the purpose of wide toe box. Would not recommend to anyone with a truly wide foot as myself.

Great comfort great traction
These are fantastic shoes both for walking and if wanting something a little dressier than a regular sneaker. It gives me great room for my toes… Having just recovered from toe surgery this is very important to me. I really enjoyed these shoes.

Great Grip!
I LOVED these shoes the moment I put them on. They are just what I've been looking for - a hiking shoe with a more substantial tread than the Primal Zen. I wore them hiking for three days in the desert and they had a super grip on the boulders and the sandy paths. I like my Primal Zen shoes for everyday wear and my waterproof Boulder Summit boots for my northwest winter outings. TheTrail Thrashers are a perfect in-between shoe and I'll be wearing them for most of my hiking.
