Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Wish these came in the low rider style
Love the new grip of this but just wish it came in a lower profile. Not a deal breaker though.

All time favorite boots.
I have worn zero drop, ‘barefoot’ style, grounding type boots of all sorts for the past 10 years. I have Lem’s Boulder boots and also the Summit which I love. So I have experience! I love these the most. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I recently sold all my Vivobarefoot boots on eBay. These are the grippiest, weather proof, stompy, run with the dogs BEST. All time best. My search is over. And they look cool too. Who could want more. Worth every cent.

Happy Feet
I’m so happy to have found these boots. The design definitely allows for more natural movement so that I can regain strength in my feet and ankles after spending way too many years sitting at a desk for work. So far I’ve worn them to casual functions and to walk my dogs. They resist water walking through moderately wet terrain and I haven’t had any issues with wet feet. We haven’t had much for snow yet to know how waterproof the leather is and how the tread performs on ice. I do like the way I can feel better contact with the ground and pavement. The wide toe box is a plus and allows for a thicker sock when I need it. I’m confident these will be worn a lot in many different situations.
